OUR STORY & IMPACT
Summit Rugby began in the spring of 1997 as a club competing in Colorado and became an official Summit School District varsity program by 2006. Since then, Summit Rugby has become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and expanded to include opportunities for boys and a middle school feeder program led by our high school athletes.Our girls program serves 60–70 students every year — a no-cut, inclusive program open to all. Our student athletes have earned spots on national select teams, competed internationally, and gone on to play collegiate rugby at the Division I, Division II, and club levels at schools including: Harvard University, Dartmouth College, US Naval Academy, Penn State, Cal Poly, Quinnipiac University — and many more.Summit Rugby graduates return on their college breaks to coach and mentor current players — a testament to the lifelong bonds and values this program instills.
